Why is my download always corrupt?

Hi I am trying to download cod AW but I keep getting corrupt download and I have to restart all ov er again.

Can't be. I use microsoft windows defender(windows 8.1) and malwarebytes anti malware and that hasn't blocked anything from steam.

If just started happening after a Steam Update, then you could be one of the few that's having dl issues. I'm in the same boat. I cannot re-dl anything back since I did a fresh Steam reinstall.

I cannot tell you how to fix it because I did everything to try to fix it apart from reformating my computer.

Did you read over the ENTIRE list that torvuseremita linked to you above ? Please recheck that just to be sure.

Also first you can try booting into safe mode with networking retry downloading or updating games that way.

If that helps, then something on your PC is affecting Steam most likely.

EDIT..Have you also treid to change the regions for downloads and log out and exit the client and log back in and try again ?

If you are using WiFi, try connecting via ethernet.

This is another good idea. You can also try changing the download region also and logging out and exit the client, then log back in and make sure your change stayed the way you left it. Try to download again. Try this a few times to different locations.

It seems sometimes Steam "bounces"around to different servers to try to get the data to you so it could be the issue.

I am using ethernet as I am using my gaming desktop and wifi is no way to play.

This OP said he couldn't do these steps. I'm pretty sure he's not reading all the steps posted In the link so leave him to solve his own issues

OP, have you tried to boot into safe mode like suggested ?

Have you tried to change the download region yet to see if that helps ?

Please check for posts you maybe have missed between posting here if you are not.

Okay MR.WiseGuy How can I download other games but not advanced warfare. Can't be steam issue or my internet connection. I think its just advanced warfare for me.
