[SOLVED] I can't read my own chat messages

So, since the update yesterday (I think) I can't see my own chatmessages or voicecommands (eg. when I scream MEDIC! it doesn't show up in the chat). Other people can see what I write, but I can't this is really weird. I've tried to verify my files, restart, etc... but nothing works.

How to fix it:
Type cl_mute_all_commands 0 in the console.

I recently fixed this, thanks to a guy on reddit. The reason you guys can't see your messages, is because you have muted yourselves (yes, muting mutes the chat as well!)

EDIT: Found a command, cl_mute_all_commands 0 and it worked :)

It's actually something like "cl_mute_cmmnds 0" or something. It'll show you what it is after you type "cl_mute" probably. 's what I did.

I've typed in "cl_mute_all_commands 0" but still says unknown command "cl_mute_all_commands"... can anyone gimme a tip?

I am muted, but this command did not fix my issue... I opened a ticket with Valve support who said... and I'm not joking here... They'll investigate, but they won't tell me what the outcome is... Why on earth would they provide such a response? My mind is honestly blown.... I paid for this game, and I continue to plow money into this game to support the updates by shopping in the Mann Store... just unreal...Anyone got an alternate approach seeing as not even Valve will help me?

Actually all of you are wrong.I had the same problem so i came to this site:
Its "cl_mute_cmmnds 0" thats the real command to get your chat back.
