Maybe i´ll buy a Logitech DrivingForce-GT soon, its gonna be waaaay more fun with a driving wheel.
I'm playing with the Xbox360 pad and this guide helped me pretty much. You will have to get the hang of it, but it will pay off. Keep in mind that you can't compare the pad to a wheel, but you will enjoy the game.

Hey man, if the soup is good with a spoon it will still be good with a fork. You just might not get all the soup and it is going to be hard and frustrating. But seriously, Assetto Corsa is the best dang soup.
