Option to disable the Windows Key
Add an option to disable the Windows Key for the games that don't have it built in.

Make it a global Steam option or per game option.

You have to do it via your control panel. Look it up on Steam Support, there's an article about it.

Thanks for replying.

Any idea on what to look for in support? I only get a bunch of results for "windows" or "key" but nothing at all for "windows key" when I search.

Control panel has nothing about the windows key that I can find under keyboard.

I saw it once... or it might have been windows help and support. Bump the thread if I don't respond in the next two days, I know what I saw and I'll try to find it again.

Caution. It requires editing the Registry. Not recommended for beginners.

The registry is edited in real time, so you can not undo a mistake.

I'd keep away from that for now.

Thanks. I've already seen that article. I just want it disabled while in game. I do have use for it outside of games.

It would be nice if there was a command that could be entered into Launch Options under a game's properties.

http://superuser.com/questions/622068/temporarily-disable-hotkey-during-gaming

"You can use WKey Disabler to temporarily disable the Windows key. If you're willing to learn some scripting with AutoHotKey, it's trivial to disable the key automatically when certain programs are running."

Links are in the article.

This one seems like it can work, but I've never used it so can't say if it is 100% safe or not. You can try and find some reviews.

You could always bind it to Home or a Function key.
