I just looked online again about my problem and found something about the rgsc.exe which I dont appear to have. I have checked in my la noire and rockstar social club folders but cant see rgsc.exe. The only other thing there that isnt rgsc.exe is an uninstallrgsc folder which I dont want to click on. Where has the rgsc.exe disappeared to. Please can someone enlighten me. Perhaps this is why I cant create a Rockstar Social Club shortcut icon on my desktop because it is missing.

Or do you mean a link to the software?
Thank you ever so much. Thats exactly what I wanted. How simple. I am glad someone knew what the hell I was talking about. Hats off to you.
whilst I am on the subject of Rockstar Social Club, is there anyway to have it run on windows 8.1 startup. I have read online there is supposed to be a small Rockstar Social Club icon on the taskbar just beside the clock. I cant find this icon. I cant even find it in the startup folder in msconfig>startup (Task Manager) or regedit. I have got my UAC enabled for when I sign-into windows. Whether this is preventing the icon from appearing I dont know. As I have probably mentioned I have been a Social Club member for as long as I can remember.
Are you referring to the RGSCLauncher.exe. If you are then strangely I dont appear to have it as I cant find it on my computer. In Windows (c)> Programs 86>Rockstar Games>Social Club folder I have Renderer and UninstallRGSCRedistributable files, along with a few others. I can run Rockstar games perfectly fine and the Social Club logs me in. So I have the social club, but not the launcher. I am running windows 8.1
I think I have sorted the RGSCLauncher problem. I inserted GTA 4 that I completed a long time ago and accessed what was on Disk 1. From there I opened the RGSC folder and clicked on Setup. This installed the RGSClauncher (RGSC.exe) and also created its own RGSCLauncher.exe shortcut on my desktop. The only strange thing is now I have two Rockstar Games Social Club icons in my programs and features (add\remove). One is version 1.1.0.6 and the other that I just installed from GTA 4s Disk 1 is 1.00.0000. Also in my Rockstar Games folder within Windows (C) > Programs (86) I have two folders. One yellow folder just says Says Social Club whilst the other says Rockstar Games Social Club. Is there supposed to be two Social Club folders in the Rockstar folder or just the one. If not why are there two there.
But hi it works so dose it really matter?
Just an update on my RGSCLauncher thingy:)
I thought for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles I would test something. I had heard about GTA 4 needing this RGSC.exe to run. So I install GTA 4 and tried to run the game to find out whether I had it or not on my computer. When I was presented with a message saying RGSC.exe could not be found I knew there and then I couldnt have it. Then I read something online about not installing the game before launching the RGSC.exe setup on GTA 4s disk 1. So I uninstalled the game, done the RGSC.exe and then reinstalled the game again. This time the game ran. Also it had put a RGSCLauncher.exe shortcut on my desktop + a icon on my taskbar (system tray) which I didnt have untill I did the RGSC setup on GTA 4s disk 1. After I knew the game worked I then uninstalled it for the final time. On uninstalling the game it asked whether I wanted to remove the RGSC application from my computer (Windows 8.1). I said no to this, as I assumed it would remove the RGSCLauncher.exe on my desktop and taskbar, which I didnt want to happen. Then I found the two Social Club versions in my add/remove programs. I promise this will be my last post on this matter. You can all heave a sigh of relief. Happy reading.
