Missing feature of Total Gb's Downloaded?
Probably not the place for it, but Where did the Total Gb's Downloaded go? Did they just recently Remove that? And is there a way to get that feature back?

I always used the Total Downloaded Gb's to manage my limited internet usage without having to login to my Internet provider, and sure i can download a New program to measure my data usage, BUT Steam's download manager was perfect.....

No steam DL manager was not perfect, they possible learna thing or 2 doing corona with many people was home and mass DL.

And your connection issue with a ISP, is not a steam problem , most have flatrate or broadnand todsay they dont have a ration DL issue anymore.

And most online games here, do not a monthly DL limitation, so maybe steam change this old wasy because its outdated.

I'm sure you do not like the reply, but gl with ask steam support if they actual have other reason i cant see it, even if they reply you with it. ( modem age we other had with pay per minute is gone. ) or other bandwide ways explanations from mobil crap ISP deal's.

Dont forget you talk with many steam fiber solutions today, we have 24/7/365 no restriction.
why will steam not adapt to that.

You also forgot try learn use DL schedule, in off peak hours then it suit's you,

This is the future, IT company have done this over 3-4 decads, update and fix PC and servers doing off peak hours, why will gamers not do same then they have more time to play, instead of sit and wait for DL and installment, to be funny or rude might be a way so other learn more time to play instead of sit and wait for peint to dry´, ( aka be done with DL and installament and opotion you actual have no choise's in anyway ) just wait to more ppl get it, we do not sit and look at DL and instalment anymore, that's a waste of out time. ( wait to you have job and kids, then you have no choise to be effective with the little spare time you might have.

As i said welcome to the future.

I have no clue what your talking about. But the download manager for Steam was perfect way back when you could tell each game individually to stop automatically updating. But i don't care about downloading hours, or connection issues.

What i want to know is why the Total downloaded Gb's is gone. Removed even. Stolen!

When i said i had limited data usage im talking about a data cap, provided by my terrible internet plan, which was easy to manage when Steam had a "Total" Gb's downloaded counter.

Feel free to ask steam support, but it look like done on purpose.

It seemed to disappear when the COVID-era change to delaying downloads happened.

I would suspect that it's because it was inaccurate or problematic.

The only way you're going to find out is by asking support.

It is game devs update core files and do not correct its installation size according to store page its a well know issue, + dlc that is alrady part of main game but not activated and then texture packs that might be added later, its so YES its inaccurate or problematic.

This is why steam might had enough of this storage space issue and it is not a steam issue, its game devs that change them. and they forget some user use all storage space, still dont explan if game gets update, but now we see multi issue with cause and effect, its funnyhow this is never a problem then driver are new and empty. ( imo i think steam had enough of this and some pc user keep get into trouble, now you need to keep eye on storage space more frequent.

ps.
people forget event like easter and xmas can also change content and size, or whaterver other holiday event they think fit a game. like day of the dead.
