Changing my stream ID
Is there a way to change my stream ID or do I have to delete this one and create a new one

Your account name is permanent and can never be changed, your profile name can be changed freely though.
As the user said above the profile name can be changed freely, you are the only one who can see the account name used for signing into your account.
You should ask the support team of the streaming platform you're planning to stream on

lol, I was thinking something similar. "I don't know; did you check with Stream?" 😉

Still, this platform is hitting its 22nd year in business. The ability to change an account name shouldn't be a problem - especially since your account has a "Steam ID" value. I see a 17-digit number under my account name.
If that's not the "immutable ID", then why does it exist? Why even allow me to see it? Ideally, that's the value that can't change, and everything else is an "adjective".

I created my account back in 2004 (Half-Life 2 release). The account name I wanted was already taken (glad it was, looking back...), so I looked around my room, got some inspiration, and put together something a little less silly than what I wanted to use, but I don't have any other accounts with that name. It would be nice to have my account name and community name match-up and be a name I already use on other services.

You'd trust Valve to NOT drop the ball changing the whole system to allow that single thing that doesn't matter except to the database now?

These are the same people that can't release an update without some regression or error popping up?

Far too likely it'd just be a great ♥♥♥♥-up.

Agreed. If it ain't broken, don't fix it. I have a feeling if they messed with it, it would ruin everyone's days on here and most likely everyone will lose their accounts. I mean look what EA did when they changed from origin to EA APP. They basically lost alot of people's games. People are still mad about it.

Plus i imagine scammers would abuse this like they do with everything else on steam. They would be stealing your account, and everyone else's unless your the scammer and suggesting this so this is done on purpose.
