Do understand why we ask you this. most that had several pc over the many years do not understand why you cant install a game now. and thats why we ask are you even in steam own online client.
And the way you explan it sounds like you have done it, most have not install games at new pc , do you have fiters on with install and recent show only, then you will see nothing even this dont fit ( I can see everything I've got )
So technicaly nothing seem to fit here, client and see games and yet you cant DL them.
on a brand new pc. ( not sure what to fix , then there is nothing that could have change this i bet.
I hope you get why we aak this. ( new pc there is nothing to fix ) unless something is not what it seem to be.
Have you added a steam libray multi drev steam library under steam menu storage.
Man i hope you are a new pc user, to explan all this to a experience pc user is way off i bet.
Just so you get it i think i have install steam over 20 times never got a issue with it unless security app did it
That may be the issue - I thought it installed automatically but apparently not. However, when I try to install it it asks me to prove I'm human but won't accept my repeated attempts to verify this
I've no idea what that means or how to do it
NB. I don't have any security installed yet, I've literally just set the PC up today and Steam is the first thing I've tried to install
First thing you should do on newer pc's is make a backup iso, and put security software before doing anything. Not having security software or no backups is a big mistake. Learn to do this next time you get a new pc.
For the backup, most OS like windows 11 even tells you this in a orange box on your desktop and should be blatently clear this should be done ASAP, even before installing steam. Also, security means you could be on a non-steam site giving away your info. Windows has it's own security software that is user friendly, so i hope you got a actual version of windows os because the illegal versions have it disabled, like bootleg ones.
This is why we ask you, most dont have a issue with new pc and then install steam, but maybe there is a windows update that need restart pc now.
