The intro movie doesn't play and if I hit a random button, then it'll bring me to the title screen but freeze up after that.
Major bummer.
If the video is very old, Try using VLC. I had to use it for certain older games to get their movies and CGI scenes to work correctly. Of course make sure to have VLC associate these movie files to recognize it on their end.
NOTE: I am unsure of on steam deck, but this is method i used before on windows desktop pc.
Turns out it defaults to keyboard. Rebind start and select to "enter" and "F1" and you'll be fine.
Videos not playing seems to be a common issue with games that use some kind of Microsoft video codec that can't be redistributed freely. It's easily fixed with Proton-GE, which supports those video formats anyway.
Try installing Proton-GE via ProtonUP-QT[flathub.org], available on Flathub. Then use it to add whatever the newest version of Proton-GE is, and select that in Heroic as the compatibility option.
I don't have the game yet, but if I did and that's what happened, this is the first thing I would try.
