How to play DLC steam family sharing
I just gifted someone in my family a DLC to Fallout as I have been playing it and wanted to do a DLC and for some reason all of a sudden I cannot play the dlc and I am so confused

EDIT: Im an idiot and they just didn't accept the gift when I sent it to them

Does it say on the store page you can family share the dlc? It should say on the store page. If not, you can refund it by having the person who bought it refund it.
It shows that it has family sharing
I think at least
Oh wait it says that it requires the base game to play. Is that not covered by family sharing?
Have you downloaded the DLC?

To the best of my knowledge, this is how it works:

If a member of your family has the base game and the DLC, and they're not playing it at the time, you can play it, and you'll be playing it with their DLC.

But you can't do something like, buy ONLY the DLC on your account, and play it using the base game on a different account. When you play a game from a family member over family sharing, you're effectively "borrowing" their version of the game, and you'll be playing whatever DLC they have for that game.

First of all, WHICH Fallout? If its Fallout 76, that one is excluded from Steam Family Share since it needs 3rd party login servers.
