Somethings wrong with PvZ and I need help

I tried to launch Plants Vs Zombies, but the game is just a white screen when the window opens. It sometimes plays the menu music, and then just stays on the PopCap logo, and the mouse does indicate that I can click on parts of the menu but nothing happens or changes.

Is anyone else having a problem like this? Or at least experiencing something similar?
And most importantly, can anyone help?
