Using my old compter again but it wont let me download certain games.
Dusting off the old gaming PC and finally got it working again but it wont let me download certain games such as Rust and Project Zomboid ,Marvel rivals is fine and is downloading currently. The button to install is just greyed out with it just showing what OS it can be played on, but its a windows computer. (I can play both games & download the games on my macbook perfectly fine)

No I dont think so, im not the most tech savvy but I did update it when i got it started. It says I am up to date.
Ive been checking my PC and it says it is running on 32-bit OS, x64 based processor. Could that be the reason? i tried playing marvel rivals but it says i need 64 bit to play. If so what do I need to do to switch from 32->64

Yes, old games used 32 bit OS. All new games use 64 bit OS. In fact some even have x86 architect that uses even more stuff. SO yea, old games can use 32 bit, but most new ones require 64 bit encryption architect. Basically any game made past 2020 you may have issues playing on your old pc.

You can see what version of windows you're running by typing System Configuration into the start menu search box. It say at the top of the window that opens. It won't tell you if it's 32 or 64 bit though, only if it's 7, 10 or 11.

Assuming it's 32 bit Win 7 you're options are to either find a download for the 64 bit version of Win 7 - given it's no longer supported by MS that would mean finding a potentially dodgy download and not recommended. Or updating to Windows 10 or 11. You may find it difficult to update to 11 as that requires certain hardware to even install which you probably haven't got, unless you want to use the workarounds.
