1 Steam Account on 2 PCs 2025
Can you still play on one PC, while also playing a different game on another, if one PC is set to offline mode and the game being played offline doesn't require any online services?

I'm getting a new PC and moving the old to our living room TV, mostly for Launchbox stuff, but my wife has an interest in some games in my library which would be easier for her to play on the TV.

Just wondering if she'll be able to play an offline game, installed on the old PC, while I play a different one (online or not) on my new PC in our office den.

Why not just make her a Steam account and family share your games with her.

That would be the better and more convenient solution.

Will we still be able to play different games, at the same time, if one of us is playing in offline mode?

Edit: I ask because I heard that, in the early days, Steam removed that ability but I'm not sure if they have since added it back...

Plus sharing accounts like they mentioned is not allowed.

You can both be online, no hoop jumping required. Only limit is you can't play the same game from your account simultaneously.

Ah, thanks for the info - looks like it's been updated since the posts I've been finding about the webs.
