Get a job at a game development studio and pitch it to the execs of the company.

If you want to shoot it into the void, over here...

Most developers won't listen to outside idea pitches. If your idea coincidentally comes close to something they're already making, they don't want to give you an avenue to come after them legally for "stealing your idea", so they'll refuse to hear it. Also if they did hear your idea, they wouldn't be able to actually make it even if they wanted to, because you could potentially have an avenue to come after them for royalties or other payment if you could prove that they heard your idea and decided to go with it.

Your best shot is to either make the game idea yourself, or get a job with a company and pitch the idea. I said they won't listen to outside pitches. It's not a problem if you pitch it from the inside. That would be your best chance.

That's a big question. Might as well ask "How do I paint a masterpiece?" or "How do I compose a symphony?" There's a lot of resources out there to help you get started.

Is there a game on steam that lets me develop games?
A game where I can create games

Here's a Steam search for software with the 'Game Development' tag to help get you started.

I don't know of any games that let you make games on PC. Dreams[www.playstation.com] on Playstation fit that bill, but it never came to PC and whatever you make there is stuck on your Playstation.

There is a lot of software out there though. Lots of different game engines. Something like Godot is popular, free, and open source:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/404790/Godot_Engine/
It's also very involved and could be overwhelming to a newbie. It's very powerful though.

For something easier there's RPG Maker. The most recent is MZ.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1096900/RPG_Maker_MZ/
It's very easy to use and even if you're a kid it can be a great way to get started making games.

I'm a long-time fan of RPG Maker but I'm not a huge fan of the direction it's gone more recently. I still think RPG Maker 2003 is the best one, and it's still viable to use today:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/362870/RPG_Maker_2003/
It's pretty old now, but I think that's part of the charm. And you can use EasyRPG[easyrpg.org] which is a runtime replacement for RPG Maker 2000 and 2003 games that let things run better on modern hardware. There are even ports for handhelds, consoles, and other operating systems.

Some classics that I used a long time ago and I still recommend include Adventure Game Studio[www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk], which is geared towards making point and click adventures like the old Sierra and Lucasarts games. Think Monkey Island or King's Quest. In high school I was basically obsessed with a program called Megazeux[www.digitalmzx.com]. It's open source now and fully updated for modern hardware, but it's really, really aged. It's made to be sort of a much more capable answer to ZZT[zzt.org], which was Tim Sweeney of Epic Game's first project and stands as part of the inspiration for Unreal Engine. I think it's still worth playing around with though.

That's really just scratching the surface. ¡Buena suerte!

There's plenty of engines you can use and some of them are really hand-holding and user-friendly.

RPG Maker, Unity, and so on.

It's up to you, but sadly the chances of you pushing even a detailed game remit to a company is about nil. They don't do that in much the same way record labels don't listen to tapes or files from new artists - they get SWAMPED with stuff and it's mostly unusable.

Your best bet of course is to do it yourself. If it means you have to learn a new skill, then do it. If you truly believe in the idea, it makes it easier.

The first time I wrote a song as a kid, I wanted to do something with it. I knew nobody who could play another instrument apart from one friend at the time and they had no idea. So over the years I learned more and more how to lay stuff down, and ended up studying audio engineering.

You do what you can if it's good enough.

Your demo neeedn't be fully polished though but THAT can offer a better impression than just words.

Go look up what the guys who created Narbacular Drop did (you can still play this online if you're insterested) - they ended up creating a little game called PORTAL from that very game.

1 tip , dont try make game alone, those who did that end up with graphic was outdate and ppl dont like backyard past has been games, ( im saying be alone can prolong when its getting done.

watchout for i will do it myslef attitude, nothing wrong with it, but if you think them big game devs work alone think again. ( also see it as learn to work with other special in big game designs actual matter. )

Will it be possible to rob caravans in your game?

Thanks for the Jester keep them coming, Learn computer games biggest fail in to be alnoe and want to do all alone. we dont even have to explan this, so many gamers think you can be over 10 years to make them and use old outdate game engine, most gamers will not play them many clones with same layout. ( i bet i get jester from a game devs that make mid range game. )

We will not buy them.

Ugly games devs with game ideas that try look there best and has no indeapth at all.

We dont need them clone games that look like card house with , though in some graphic and rest is is click here and there game , what a joke, im sure im not the only gamer that has seem them games. ( if gamer devs need more public spanking, im sure many steam user will give them to you. )

Say alot about game devs try earn cach only and give a crap in content.
it almost is a consol conversion make a betterr game then , past game engine thats once in time was a good game but now feed the clones and look alikes.

Just wait to steam gamers get flooded with clone crap ripoff, and steam cant stop them.
require you have seen this before and as gamers we dont forget all that crap you did in the past.
