Problem with nexus mods

First of all - I cannot access the nexus forum to ask about this problem.
I have been trying to access the nexus in order to mod skyrim. In order to download the mod manager, I need to make an account. In order to get a working account, I need to click the validation link in an automated email.

I have tried making two accounts, but have not received this email. I have checked the junk/spam folders, I have used two email accounts, I have checked the spelling on the account names and everything is correct.

They say I should receive an email within 10 minutes, but it has been 6 hours and no email. I have tried to have them resend the validation email multiple times, but no luck.

I have sent them an error report through their own website but no reply/acknowlegement.

I understand the summer sale is on for skyrim, so they may be overloaded. However google searching and filtering by time period shows no people with the same problems as me lately.

What should I do?

I just want to download the mod manager and go ahead and get some mods for skyrim, but this is an impenetrable brick wall. I could maybe torrent the NMM from another source, but I'd probably still need the nexus account to get it to work. And, because it's a free/easy to download piece of software I'd probably just be asking for a virus if I downloaded it somewhere.

Any suggestions?

Yup I understand that, just hoping that someone has a pro tip about these forum account creation problems. It might be the case that I'm just screwed and have to wait and try again every day
