Welcome to the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator Beta Group.

The Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator will soon be in limited beta as a feature of the iOS and Android mobile applications (which will be updated soon). The authenticator provides two-factor login to Steam. It also provides additional ways to protect and recover your account.

Beta participants will be selected from members of this group. Join now to express your interest in participating. Please share your thoughts and feedback in the discussions.

Please note that we are enabling only Android devices today. We will be testing on iOS devices when the iOS app is released (which should be soon).

Beta Participation

We will select a small number of beta participants from group members and then do a round of testing. If all goes well, we will enable more, with the ultimate goal of enabling participation for everyone.

I just verified my phone number but I can't activate Steam Guard because I don't receive the sms with the code, did anyone go through this?

Exactly the same here. Tried 4 times, twice by my pc and twice by mobile. Nothing.

This is blocking my steam client from accessing the steam store. :(

An hour ago i recieved like 5 txt messages at once with all the codes. lol. Valve with a classic delay :D

years of making profit from Windows ecosystem, and now Valve decides that they have no reason to support Microsoft products anymore. such a low life behavior. where is ur loyalty, Valve? do we have to suffer ur failed Linux experiments and bloody bloated Android or overpriced iPhone so we can play games and trade on our Windows machines? shame on u!

add support for Windows mobiles now!

for my fellow Windows mobiles pals, there is a great chat for steam app in ms store, works great! it's not an authenticator, but otherwise works just fine.

Ok, this is too confusing......1: I never added my phone # to my account so I don't understand how/why it's there now.
2: I haven't had the steam app on my phone for weeks now due to it not working.
3: Now I can't sign into my account in the steam client 'cause it's asking me for a code I don't have/ever will have.
conclusion: This really sucks......all my $$$ I have put into steam/steam games is wasted....

I have windows phone. Steam does not support windows phone. So Steam stop reminding me using Steam guard!!!

Anything about at least a small compatibility with the Microsoft Authenticator in Windows Phone?
I don't ask for a complete Steam app (even if it's unfair for the WP users IMO), but at least a MS authenticator compatibility! :(

well ive installed it on my mobile and i keep getting sms code incorrect...how is this helping if it doesnt work...can see people getting locked out with very slow support to get back in to there accounts

yes, have to use bluestacks.

also, you can use pinger.com/tfw, if you dont have texting ability at all.

sucky valve with crappy requirements and discriminatory mobile support!

I want my Windows mobile supported now! I'm not spending more money on this platform, until my phone is supported too!
