Stop using third party skin trading/gambling scam sites or clicking suspicious links
Rule of thumb, if a site claiming to be Steam asking for your Steam login, maybe DON'T login via said site claiming to be Steam. There a TONS of scam sites going out of their way to any possible lengths to convince you to login.
We also have scammers saying these things:
- Vote for my team.
- I reported you, or you have pending ban.
- I gifted you $50, or whatever.
- You got invite to early access.
ALL of them provides you a SCAM link to trick you to login via scam site.
Then got Discord. scammers can SPOOF links to redirect you to scam sites, it show as LEGIT link in the message, but it's not when you click on the scam link on Discord. Because Discord allows people to use command to spoof text.

Lastly don't be dumb to donwload random things from people in DMs that say try out my demo, here a gift run it, or whatever they ask you to download, and run it that most likely be a virus, and common scam on discord.
Clearly, your security hygiene is lacking if you manage to get your account hijacked thrice. Once, honest mistake. Twice, it gets stupid. Thrice, you are clearly the problem.
Start learning from your mistakes!
With all that out of the way, you can use parental controls to disable market access for your account. This isn't un-bypassable though.
The account name, the password and the KEY to the door, the Steam Guard Mobile code, or scanning the QR code or authorising via fingerprint giving them access to the account.
How? by either logging into a known scam site or sites, tailored malware on your PC, the vote for my team scam, you have a pending ban scam on Discord, free knife click the link, signing in through a fake login window etc.
How does Steam (a program) know it is not you when all the account details are correct? It doesn't, therefore any action taken on your account is seen as you doing said actions.
The alternative is not plausible:
1) Someone would have to "GUESS" your account name from "millions of possible combinations".
2) Next they would have to "GUESS" your password from "millions of possible combinations" and then match it to your account name with "millions of possible combinations".
3) And finally they would have to "GUESS" the Steam Guard Mobile code "which changes every 30 seconds" to match both your account name and password to then have access your account.
The weakest link is the end user, not the security offered.
But i have successfully recovered most of my accounts without any harm.
Again thanks to all of you guys for your support.
PS: my antivirus didnt even give me a warning while windows did n i ignored it.
What was the name of the game?
