Cant buy a game without a phone number anymore ?

Up to july `24 i had no problems buying games. Always payed with Giropay or Sofortüberweisung
without any problem. But recently a phono number is asked for verification. Thing is i have none.
Not mobil not landline. So i simply cant purchase games anymore.....WFT

a phone is required for all digital purchases preferably a smartphone, in the EU there is a requirement for banks and CC providers to use multiple authentication methods.

They have them at walmart or CVS. Tracphone or consumer cellular are pretty cheap, and they even have smartphones too.

These are your options.
A) Use another payment method that doesn't need phone number if they provided say option, or go to option B),

B) Go buy Steam wallet cards if don't want to get a cheap smart phone.
