( Laptop not in 100% full performance , will reduce cpu and disk writes, and technical be longer on a task, same as Temparature will have a longer and higher heat over time. )
You try run a marathorn on half energy, and i bet you will heat up for lack of resources.
and it dont help if its dust or hot where you live.
To run at max resorece actual help with get caculation be faster done.
as long pc is running at build spec you should be safe, ( ppl that OC know more cooling is needed. ) laptop cant do that and make sure AIR can get in under it, if that is the air flow in at laptop fans locations.
gl with it.
What does your manual say? What model is it? And so on.
**I'm assuming you've read your motherboard manual and know if any overclocking was applied by the shop or factory for your parts. removing these will drop your temps without much work.**
if you want more powerful cooling you're going to need to put more than 2 case fans in there, and a custom either air cooler or 300mm+ AIO liquid cooler, as it looks like its using a stock heatsink. (I wouldn't recommend doing custom liquid cooling unless you have some experience making watertight fittings)
why cooling? cooling allows for two things.
-lessen the thermal gradients on the electronics (high temps are harder on your equipment. temps over 75c decrease the service life of your parts)
-allows for overclocking and prevents thermal throttling. when a cpu or gpu gets too hot the sensors start cutting the power to the gpu and cpu to protect it. it may also just shut the pc off if it gets too hot.
if you don't care about this stuff, you don't need to change anything.
keep in mind: a lot of people might think having a pc that stays between 20-40c at load is great, but then they look at the price tag of the cooling rig & work required and say 'no thanks' lol.
Note though that temps are a cooling issue not a Steam problem. You shoudl refer to Orion for assistance on cooling issues. because it looks like your cooling is not working, or the fan curve on the CPU cooler is basically not working
That gaming PC should come with the "PredatorSense" software which sort of controls how the CPU and GPU cooling works. You'll need to refer to how that software works but they generally have 'fan curves' where if the CPU or GPU hits specific temps the fans begin to spin up to cool yuour system.
