Can't remember Account name and Password + Don't have access to phone number and email...

Hello everyone on Steam.

My siblings and I love playing games on Steam. We have used Steam as our primary platform for many years now. My Brother has had some crazy life experiences over the past few years where he had no computer access or even comfortable living. I am happy to say he has been doing great now will a nice house and great internet! Currently, he's on an Xbox but he is looking to get a computer and start playing again with us! I had him over and we were trying to log back into his Steam account.
We don't remember the account name or password. The email has been deleted and the phone was an old Walmart phone. We don't know how or what to do to get this account back. For now, he has a new one with a few games so we can all play. But we are truly at a loss he would love to get back the old badges, games, and moments had on his Steam account. Please if there is anyone who could help.

Has he at least tried the account recovery process?

Gone to the Steam homepage to try logging in and click on "Help, I can't sign in" under the Sign In button?

Clicked on "I forgot my Steam Account name or password" in the next screen?

There's a box after that to search for an account by the email address or phone number on the account.

They read it. But you don’t need it.

Go through the recovery process.

However, your brother is going to need to prove that the account is theirs, so good luck with that.

If you have no identifying information for the account it's going to be impossible for you to recover it. The first thing Support will need from you in the recovery process will be for you to give them some way to identify the account. They will ask you for your account name first. And if you don't know that, they will ask for your email address or phone number. If you do not know at least 1 of these three things, they won't even be able to start the recovery process because nobody can even figure out which account was yours.

Now, if you do remember the old email or phone number, that's different. You can proceed through the recovery process with that. But since you sound like you're using "don't have access to" as a stand in for "can't remember what either of them were", you're out of luck.

We have gone through every step even talking with someone at Valve. They wanted to card attached to the account at 1 point but of course his whole life was taken away so there isn't any of the information we remember or can access.

This is really unfortunate but is the result as of right now. I only hope we can continue to try and somehow get it back.
