Requested refund to my Capital One CC Mar 19th, approved but not in my Account
Title. Have a few games that I bought and then returned immediately during the sale, still am not seeing the money charged back to my CC. Is this on Steam, Capital One, or something I did?

Thanks.

Where is my refund? My refund was approved, but it’s been more than 7 days.

Approved refunds can take up to 7 days to appear in your account – however, refunds to international payment methods may take longer. If your refund hasn’t appeared after 7 days, please contact your bank directly and ask about pending refunds on your account.
When a refund request is approved within 24 hours of the purchase, the original transaction is cancelled and the charge drops off your bank statement. In this case, you will not see a credit on your account. This process can take up to 10 days – wait time for international payment methods may vary.

Thanks, but it has already been 10 days, and I refunded after 24 hours in a few instances. I am also a U.S. citizen.

It has now been 12 days and the purchase is still not refunded. Is this normal?

As csg said up there, have you checked, if the money even went out of your account?

When you make a transaction a check is made to see if you have the funds. If you do the money is fenced off (put on hold) to send to Steam at some point in time as it is not instant.

If you refund within 24 hours the transaction is cancelled but the hold remains until your bank, credit card company processes it.

Banking days are Monday to Friday.

Yeah, it did. All the transactions have hit my account. This is a credit card and the available balance has not gone back up.

Some of these transactions were over 24 hours. The timing is what I am curious about. It has been 10 banking days as of today. Appreciate you trying to help.

It's normal for users to not understand how the various systems work. It's also normal for the user to have the various options explained to them, but for the user to ignore that information so they can get to the, "yeah but" part of their mental gymnastics.

Cool. Nothing that has been provided actually answers my question, you just seem to want to get on a high horse about how smart you are for some reason. I am asking questions, receiving answers, and have not received an answer that satisfies the question. I didn't "yeah but", I simply have not been provided any answers that fit the criteria of my question, as all the variables above are met by my transactions:

It has been 10 business days.

It has been 7 days.

It is not international.

Some transactions I requested a refund within 24 hours, some after 24 hours.

And lastly, none of the funds have been returned to my available credit on Capital One.

Your snideneness is not needed, appropriate, or appreciated. Have a good one, either way.

EDIT: Removed the user's name and replaced with my own, as they removed their comment. Keeping the comment and my response as it may be useful for others to know the whole situation.

The problem is you just keep posting here, rather than trying to resolve the issue. Nobody here can do anything to help you beyond telling you the likely cause.

If you have had confirmation that Steam have accepted your refund request(s) then you need to speak to Capital One to ask why they have not adjusted your balance accordingly.

If you haven't had that confirmation from Steam then you need to speak to Steam support.
