Game Refunds
Hi, I'm very new to Steam, and I requested refunds for a couple of games that seems either unplayable on my Deck, or simply not enjoyable. The email from support yesterday said that my refund will be delayed because of changes to my account security. Does anyone know approximately how long refunds approval could take in this circumstance? Thanks

It's typically a 3 day delay before normal response times apply.

Correct. The time limit is to prevent people from abusing the system like they did in the past. You can thank the previous abusers for the reason there is a now a time limit on it. Also people flood the support with frivalous tickets. So they have to go thru all those multiple same tickets that people complain about in support about frivalous things.Never post multiple tickets about the same thing, as this really slows down support for your issue.

Also, since your new, try not to refund many games at once, or they may prevent you from doing it in the future. They may consider it abusing the system.

No the delay due to security changes is not because of people abusing refunds. How would changing your password allow you to abuse refunds?

You are correct that refunding too often can lead to the ability to request refunds being withdrawn.
