Winter Sale 2024 Badge

I bought some games during the 2024 winter sale and got 5/10 cards for the badge.

Those cards have now expired and are no longer in my inventory but in my badges i can still see the badge with 5/10 cards.

So my question is if i have 0 cards left in my inventory why is the badge till showing up? Is it a bug? if not how can i get rid of it?

That is normal. The badge will show permanent. I still got one showing from 2015 with the salians. It is not a bug, just a thing it shows. As far as i know, it is not designed to get rid of it.

Well that's annoying. is there anyway i can get steam to help out or is it just gonna be a stain on my steam profile?

Winter 2024 badge progress will eventually be removed when Valve decides to remove it for people who do NOT have a full set to craft. Usually around the next event with cards, Summer.

As for people that have a full set to craft, that will be available until they craft all their full sets and then it automatically goes away.

Valve used to be better about removing the previous Summer/Winter badge progression after the cards expired, 1 month after the sale ended but has neglected to do so the past year or two. Now they let the thing sit for nearly half a year.

Well as long as they remove it at some point i am happy. Would suck to permanently be stuck with 5/10 forever because i didn't turn the cards into gems in time xD
