How to make your own Animated Steam Artwork ?

Hello guys i want to make my own steam artwork i know some use adobe aftereffects or gif like the one i got on my profile right now i just wanna know what software can i use to make it ? what should i know ? anything that would be helpful

Depends what you want it for really.

If you're assuming to make it to use on your profile you cannot.

The points shop works from stuff that Valve or developers make.

Ah I see - I just wanted make sure as I've seen this question come up a fair bit :)

As regards the programs to use, I can't help you there - that's a bit outside my scope.

Gimp is free and does a decent job, adobe photoshop is the industry standard, but a cc license sub will be $$$.
