Steam Browser opens a new window every time I open a link
How do I get it to go back to opening pages without opening a new window?

Not sure what OP is talking about. Is is about Steam Client way to browse through or in-game?

The Steam client was playing up when I was browseing the steam forums on it and opening up a new window every time I tryed to open a thread or post a reply, the problem seems to of gone away by itself now, but I am still absolutely clueless as to what caused it.

Well maybe you found some secret way to do it :D:

You can Shift Click on links on Steam to open them in a new window.. so maybe you hit some hot key to trigger it to stay like that...

To open in the same TAB, Press Shift + Left Click
To open in the new TAB, Press Middle Mouse Button.

I hope this helps.
I know I am like 4 years late to reply but some people might come in future to check the same discussion so.. xD
