What does multiplayer mean ?

As i know multiplayer means playing the ****Ing game online on steam with other players right ?

Need 4 speed is multiplayer you play it online with other players right ?

Ok if im right so far Can someone explain to me what the hell does multiplayer mean here http://store.steampowered.com/app/207020 ? ? ?? I bought this Racist game because it said MULTIPLAYER And it only has Local Coop (Split screen) Soooo what the hell is going on steam? This is bullcrap ! Besides the game is RACIST

Well for me it seem to be wrong category made by the Dev best you can do is connect the Dev and tell them to fix it to local co-op and not multiplayer

Any way multiplayer on the most simple is any thing with more then 1 player.. even a 2 player game is multiplayer

True but i think we can agree that on Steam Mutliplayer caagory go for more then just local multiplayer...

There are several categories:-

Single player
Co-op
Local Co-Op
Multiplayer
Cross-platform Multiplayer

If we say that Multiplayer is "over the internet", then what is the difference between "co-op" and "local co-op" ?

Borderlands 2 as an example is co-op. It's you and someone else co-operating and as it's over the internet irs not "local". It's not classed as a multiplayer game! As is Payday2.

Non-local co-op would suggest over the internet, but as you aren't co-operating but rather competing in a game, you'd need another category called "local multiplayer" to get the category you want!

(Then you have local games where you take it in turns. Is this multiplayer? it's certainly not co-op or local co-op!)

he wasnt insulting anyone it was a recording from a Famous Shekh Muslem i am 100% sure of it

Multiplayer is a combination of Multiple, and player, so from that logic you can tell that it means having multiple people playing in the same game. This can be through online gameplay, as is the case with games such as TF2, and Call of Duty, or it can be local, like what many Nintendo games support.

Yes Multiplayer means Multi players playing at the same time Can be done locally or online

BUT IN STEAM

Mutliplayer = Online play
Local Co-op = Same pc PLAY

please stop confusing and dont Bring consoles to this because steam definse multiplayer as online and you are wrong to think otherwise

Multi is short for multiple. Multiplayer is short for multiple players.

I've played this game on Android, and to be honest, there's no racism or Sheikh talking (A sheikh is an Arab Ruler, how is it a priest?) about Islam. Seriously, go check you don't have a virus or a different app./radio on, there's nothing racist. Stop jumping on the devs.
