Trading notification won't go away

Every time I log in there's a little green thing at the top of my screen that tells me that there are two pending trade offers. When I click it they both say "Items now unavailable for trade". In the past these would go straight to the trade offer history, but now they just aren't going away, and because they are no longer open trades I can't deny them and there appears to be no way to get them off of my screen. What's worse is that the notification at the top of the screen stays there despite the fact that I've already gone to the page and left it. Is there a way to fix this or is this just a temporary thing that Steam is going to fix soon?

I had the same problem, mine did go away over time but try restarting steam.

Nope, doesn't work. Did you just log on one day and it wasn't there or did you get an update or something?

Alright, I was hoping that there was a way to delete the offers themselves but I'm pleased to see that the solution will hopefully resolve itself. Thank you.

How long did you wait? I too have the same problem

Exactly same issue here. Logging in Steam or clicking notification don't help.

Well the problem for me was resolved overnight. I no longer have the issue. Whatever the problem may be I hope it'll be resolved soon. And if this is a bug then I hope that Steam fixes it ASAP. You should probably try (if you haven't already) rebooting your computer. That might be what did it for me. I should also mention that when I logged into Steam today the notification was still there but it disappeared when I went to the page, so don't get discouraged if you log into Steam after rebooting your computer and you still see the notification, just go to the page and if it doesn't disappear after that then you have a problem. But I wish you all the best of luck :)

It goes away when you receive a new trade offer. Trade some worthless item with a friend and it should go away.

But yes it's a bug and it's annoying.

If you wanna fix the issue, Go to your privacy settings, set your Inventory setting to PRIVATE then restart steam, when you log in again, then press on the notification and it should go away because it says that you are unable to get offers because your inventory is private, then just set it back to normal when you're done, enjoy!
