Steam Voice When Recording
First off, I apologize if this has been brought up before... searched through and couldn't find it.

Anyhow, I record my gameplay often and post it on youtube. Most of the time, everything works great and audio sounds good etc. However, whenever I have a steam voice chat session going though, the sound in my recordings gets completely deadened. The only thing that can be heard is my own voice. When recording there wil be a distinct difference between audio without steam voice chat, and when I start a chat session. At the same time though, all audio levels from what I'm hearing in real time as I play, sound exactly the same... it's only changing in my recording.

It's as if the steam voice chat is making my recording software (OBS) do some kinda sound balancing that I'm unaware of. I've tried several settings in OBS and always think I have it dialed in but then a start a Steam Voice session and my recordings all go to hell again.

Any constructive input would be appreciated!

Thanks

i will look into it... if you can only hear your voice and the other are really low i think its something in OBS and not Steam
But il try it out
Thanks! Yeah, I'm gonna keep playing with settings in OBS too... I'll post back if I make any progress.
Any thing on your side? I had problems up to now to set OBS... so only now i can really test it
Nothing unfortunately. Had given up recently and gone with teamspeak for now when recording. Will keep digging though 'cause steam chat is so convenient. It just seems as though something's not meshing between it and OBS since teamspeak creates no audio imbalance through OBS.
