But on a side note, you won't have to re buy Warframe as its free to play on both platforms. (Though accounts and servers aren't connected, so PC plays against other PC users and PS4 plays against etc)
Never assume that you will get the same game for free cross platform, it is very rare if it ever happens. Valve did it with the PS3 version of Portal 2 and that is the only example I can think of.
There are a number of PC/Mac/Linux version crossovers on here. PSN also do crossovers for PS3 and PS Vita.
I just include this for information.
It's not really a policy (mostly because it's more than one party involved). They are completely different code for different systems.
Try to think of this analogy - if you bought a DVD of a film of your choice in one shop, should you have the right to go into another shop, wave your current DVD around and say "right, I'll have that BluRay version as well, free of charge, thanks"?

rocket league lets you play with pc players while using a ps4
