In what kind of situation do steam give back items? I got hijacked thru a phising site and the hacker logged in from russia but still steam thinks that i cannot validate my claim and wont be getting any items back.

If you can't validate your claim, then think of Valve's point of view - would you return an account to someone who can't prove it is theirs? Or would you give the items back to someone when they've offered no proof or reason to do so?

Well i guess ill start scamming people too. I mean why not if all they get is a bann its easy to transfer items ot other account after the scamm and if no one investigates im on a win. I guess me playing non stop for the last few months means nothing. But yeah valve getting 1 million $ every second why bother with me and my 30 scammed items which i got from fair trading. Have a good one. Things like this get handled pretty well in World of Warcraft. Hope Steam learns its lesson sooner or laters.

First of all i didnt click on any links or anything like that. Me being a gamer all my life and trying to get scammed in WoW for years gave me a 6 sense about stuff like that. If you really wanna know whats up ill upload the screenshot so you wont have to waste your time giving me advices for things you dont know. Im new on steam and the offer the "scammer" sended seemed pretty normal.

As i said I didnt logg into nothing a site nor anything else. I chatted with some random dude who offered real cash for items seemed pretty legit. And as a poor gipsy Bulgarian I felt like 120$ for 40 items aint that bad. Got the offer accepted it didnt get the money. Yes im retarded.

How should i know ? I saw the offer the steam site was on and how if i didnt have a steam wallet it will automaticly create one. Im just new and foolish and didnt know that the scammer can write whatever he wants on the offer. I just thought he added 120$ to the offer and when i accept it ill get ze money and he will get ze items.
