Rocksmith 2014 - DLC

Hi,

I purchased rocksmith 2014 and its an awesome game. When you go to the SHOP option to buy a new song or song pack it shows all the music you can get. However a-lot of it is not available. It says you must own Rocksmith (TM) to download this content. However in game it shows it as a downloadable option. On the PS3 you can download the content from Rocksmith (TM). So in my opinion this is a bug. People have posted about this for months now.. since way back in November 2013 and have said Steam advised they were working on it. I fail to see how they cannot have fixed this in 5 months. Is this some sort of scam to make people pay more by forcing them to buy both copies of rocksmith? I went to the Support site to log a support ticket and went through all the procedures. Signed up with a new support account and finally got to the bit that says click here for support.... its goes to a URL 404 error rocksmith support page not found? What the hell? Seriously can we get some feedback from Steam on whether they are looking into this issue? It can't be that hard to fix... Basically the game is broken because their website is associating the DLC packs with only Rocksmith (TM).

Hey if im wrong apologies but this has taken way to long. Can we please get some support for this. Obviously i'd log a support ticket if their support site for rocksmith worked rather then posting here... but where else do I go?

Well i will suggest you post on the Rocksmith 2014 hub... here is more Steam things then game spasfic more then that you want the game Dev not Steam or the community

I think that I have to agree with "Chook." on this. Steam is the one that is creating the problem so why post to Rocksmith. I purchased my game from Steam, I log on to Steam to play, and when I want to buy a song I have to go to Steam, and when I try to order a song it is Steam that tells me that I now need to buy another copy of Rocksmith. If I was dealing with Rocksmith then I would expect to post there. Come to think of it, I did post there. They said that there wasn't much that they could do since my purchase was through Steam. The Developer can't do anything about what the Distributor is doing. The Developer can only fix issues in the actual game play. The problem here is a Distributor issue. The Developer did a great job; in my opinion, by making a great game. Now the Distributor needs to get on the ball so I can actually purchase more pieces of what was Developed. I won't buy anything else from Steam or tell anyone else that they should until they address this issue.

Well, it's been months now and I still can't get any of the songs that I want. Has anyone else found a way to get them?

I doesn't seem like the people at Steam really care. I have tried Ubisoft & Rocksmith to try to find a solution. Both say that it is out of their hands since my purchase was through Steam. I'm pretty sure that I won't ever recommend Steam to anyone that I know! If anyone finds a way to buy songs without purchasing the obsolete version of the game, please post it for the rest of us!
