Account hijacked, $400 dollars worth of items stolen
My account got hijacked thro phishing link and I made an steam ticket, in my ticket i mentioned the user who hacked my account and traded my items, also sent a print scr of my trade history,

This user has hacked many others aswell and poeple have spammed on his wall etc but steam just replied:

Hello,

A staff member has replied to your question:

Hello Sunny,

Upon investigation, we cannot validate your claim.

Items will not be restored unless we can verify internally that the account was accessed by another user. We cannot restore items based on chat logs or screenshots.

Users are responsible for the security of their Steam accounts and computers, including the safekeeping of login information.

Now I dont understand why, if they check the last trade with this user and check his reports doesnt that make good enough argue to my claim?

I just sent them request to check IPs, I live in a different country, the hacker was russian... isnt that good enough proof? :/

Need help from anyone who has gotten there items back from steam ;/ I really got hijacked:(

What is Steam's policy on returning items that were taken while my account was hijacked?

The use and security of the Steam account is your responsibility. It does not matter if you let someone use the account, or if the account was being used without your knowledge. It is your responsibility to safeguard your account against such activities.

For information on how to safe guard your account, please read our Account Security Recommendations and Account Phishing FAQs.

As the article said. If support decides to make an exception, that is up to them. Seeing as they have already given their answer, you most likely won't.

Its useless to send a ticket, someone stole me +600$ of tf2 items like 3 years ago, I never seen my items back.

Phisher stole m9 bayonet urban masked minimal wear from me and got the same answer, valve support is useless. That knowledge i got after being phished cost me 130 eurs, which is not too bad considering you lost 600$ :/ the more i think about it, the more i get the wish to set them all on fire..

Steam Support's word is the final answer. Nothing the Community can do.

Unfortunately you just learned a 400 dollar lesson in account security. Take it to heart and use what you learned to never get phished again.

"Hello again,

I am sending a print screen of the mail i got from steam guard with the hackers IP, you can clearly see that a computer in russia has logged into my steam account while i am in sweden and traded off my items for 1 cheap dota item i already have.

I know this is my fault because I filled the steam guard code on a phishing site but pleaes steam help me prove that i am innocent here and have been hacked, please could you discuss this with your collegues aswell because there must be a way to prove that I have been hacked,

I will respect your final decision but please try to retrive my items because this is my first time, I will assure you that It will never happen again, how have other users that have gotten scammed the same way as me have retrived there items?

Waiting for a reply, best regards"

got an reply just now;

Hello Sunny,

We store a large amount of data about all purchases, trades and other actions on Steam.

Attempts to mislead Steam Support into creating items that never existed in your inventory or were not stolen from your account will result in your account being locked.

The items will not be restored.

You can read about our trading policy here:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9958-MJDG-3003

We will be unable to assist you further with this issue.

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.
