Before purchase?
(note: ultimately you're probably going to have to make a new Steam Support account & contact Steam Support. I'm sure you appreciate we have no access to accounts.)
Probably all we can do is maybe help you understand why it fudged up, but probably not rectify.
It was via PayPal, the payment already cleared and we have a reciept of payment from both PP and Steam. And Yes I did that before posting here just incase someone may have found themselves in this situation previously. God this is stupid.
I keep my own line so don't use Family Sharing, but there may be others respond yet.
We just did a side by side comparison and what is different is the "licence" on my own account it says Steam (Complimentary) and Rust, and Purchases show Rust but on my Girlfriends it says "Steam (Complimentary)" and under purchases it says Rust. Which is basically saying she has bought it but doesn't have the licence for it?
Have you right-clicked game in Library, Properties, Local Files, & Verified Cache?
Maybe try closing Steam going into Steam folder & send all files in AppCache folder to the trash, then restart Steam. If that fails Restore All from trash.
Just tried both, now it says "TD1's games" and not her games -_-
Well ... try this first on the screwed up PC.

If the problem still exists then going to have to disable cloud in case it uses it, uninstall the game and then delete the install directory and anything it might have put in my docs. Not sure how this game is setup but you will likely have to manually delete the install folder and saved game location if it is local.
Thanks but thats not working either, Like I said I think its more Steams issue as it shows as shes bought on my side and her account but her licence and subscription does not display for her :/ I'm going to wait for Steam support to reply I think :/
It seems the problem lies in buying a game, and sharing it. Then if you later go and buy it for the account that previously shared it, it messes up.
I can't say any more than to point you to Steam Support.
I do like the feature of family sharing, however since this issue I am actually recommending my Steam friends to not use it untill this is resolved. Basicly because whenever they play a game of me and they want to buy it, they could but it won't be theirs......
