Running Diablo 3 with Steam Overlay
I have spent the last hour testing every "solution" i can find the make Diablo 3 use the overlay. I can't find anything current on how to make it work and all the "solutions" are from 2012 before the advent of this battle.net launcher. And I'm pretty sure it has to do with this new launcher because it was workin just a day ago (when i started playing again) but then I updated to this new launcher and now the overlay doesnt work. Has anyone had any luck making D3 play nice with steam?

In all honesty, you'd most likely be better off asking on Blizzard's forums.

The appropriate place to post would be the steam forums. Its a third party program and not supported by blizzard Blizzard Forum [us.battle.net] ;)

Make sure you added "Diablo III.exe" as non-steam game, not "Diablo III Launcher.exe".
Rightklick the shortcut in your library -> properties -> add -launch to the target field.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch

Still working for me.

Yep, for Diablo this worked perfectly for me, thanks a bunch!

However I tried the same commandline with Heroes of the Storm and it did not work, also tried "-sso=1 -launch -uid heroes" didn't work also.. maybe you guys have any idea?

Overlay is working, BUT it will not let me login. Asks for my authenticator code then says it is wrong. Login fine just from the B.net launcher. It seems intentional. Blizzard does not want to play nice with Valve. Much like EA they think they are just too big and successful on their own and try to soley do their own thing.

i just logged in to test it and it went fine, it asked for my authentication code I typed it and voilà. I don't know if you are using the authentication app for smartphones, or sms, or phone, but if you are using the app you might be out of sync, try hitting the little sync symbol on the bottom left, and try again, bcuz here, it worked.
