Sent a gift but wasn't recieved.

So earlier on I was speaking to a friend, she had bought a 4 pack of games and had sent me a copy. She said it came up that i accepted the game but I never did. She no longer has the game in her inventory, and i do not have the game either. Does anyone know why? Or could steam figure a solution please.

That is odd. Do you know if your friend sent it through Steam or email? See if your friend can go to their inventory and click "More" > "View gift history". Under the gift you should have received they should be able to click on your name. Have them make sure it takes them to your profile and not another "Sloth.".

I replied to my friend on which she replied that she had sent the game to me. This must be Valves vault.

I'm more inclined to think that it isn't Valve's fault as I cannot recall ever hearing of a problem like this.

It is far more likely that it's as Busmin says - user error. Personally, I wouldn't just ask her if she'd sent the game as she's obviously just going to say yes. I'd ask her to do the check Busmin says and reply to you the PRECISE details of the account she sent it to. When you also bear in mind your user name, it's obvious that it's not exactly an uncommon name - out of the 70 million + Steam accounts, there must be a fair few permutations of that name about.

There will be yes, But i am the only Sloth on her friends list for her to send it to, so its not like she could of miss sent to someone else.
