Your DirectX runtime is out of date (GMod error) HOW DO I FIX IT?
Can't plat Garry's Mod because of this error. Please can someone help me fix it. I'm using Windows 8 by the way.

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_40 apparently this fixes the error, is it safe?

how about installing directx from the microsoft page?

wel thats not what I said , I said I would start with installing it from the microsoft page,
we already know what ever version you have my have a bug.

not saying it has , it is just were I would start.
seen it fix many issues just installing it.

I have no windows 8 so you need to read how.
if you are going to do it.
