7 Days to Die 2-Pack sale purchasing Problem
I just bought one 7 Days to Die 2-Pack for myself and my Wife but I am also needing to buy another 7 Days to Die 2-Pack for my Sons so we can all play.... Steam is not allowing to buy another 2-pack even as a gift.. both options to purchase are greyed out even though I have enough in my Steam Wallet to buy another 2 pack with change leftover. Steam store says's "You already own one or more of the Items in your cart, you cannot purchase it again though you may Purchase those items you already own as a Gift." STEAM.... HELP! I would like to purchase another 7 Days to Die 2-Pack... I have read through everything on the games store page and about the sale and nowhere does it state any limitations on purchases, sale or not. Please Help.. we were looking forward to checking this game out together tonight. :rfacepalm:

Buy from one of your sons account buying a 2 pack is one for you one gift... you cant buy 2 as gift.. the point is a one time discount for buying more copys

all packs of more then 1 are like these...
so just buy from one of your sons account and move the second copy or if your wife did not active it yet buy from her account and then move one from your account one from her account to your sons

or use maybe sharing if you can? (as in famliy sharing even that if you want to play in the same time it will not work)

Once you own a game you no longer are able to buy a (in this case) 2 pack. As 1 of the games is linked to the account the game is bought on and the other is added to the inventory.

To say it more clearly. When buying multi packs of a single game, 1 must be bound to the buyers account. As you are trying to buy the 2 pack again, its still trying to bind 1 to your account but it won't let you because you already own it (doesn't matter if your trying to buy it as a gift either)

Your best bet is to buy it from the other accounts.

Got ya guy's... thats exactly what I was worried about... all my funds are on this account already :tank: It really makes no sense that they limit you in that way though... you buy a game for yourself and want to buy it for multiples friends and so you want to buy packs of them to meet your needs and they are still getting the sale in the same respect... but nope.. it has to be a pain in the butt! :trazz: Thank you guyz for the quick responses :D:

Well most of the time packs come with a better price... so they allow you to get it only once...
But i do understand your point of view..

O and i wanted to add in 7-days to die buying 1 game is: $23.44
buying a 2 pack is: $33.49 what means its $16.75 for each.. so if i was able to buy as much two packs as i like i will have buy many and sale them for maybe 20$ :D: get the problem then

Right, I understand your point on it as well... but.. a new unlimited steam account takes no time to establish and make purchases for the sole cause of re-sale for profit and situations like this one only lay foundations for someone to try and figure out a way to get around restrictions such as these that they honestly are just limiting their own sales in the firsts place... these are not limited quantity/seats to a Concert... the more sales = more Dev money to invest into further advances in the Dev of their Title... I get the attempt at the idea of what and who they are detouring but... it really just boils down to becoming a game and rewarding finding a "work around/defeating the system" to those that are not merely trying to save some money when trying to enjoy a title as a Gamer trying to gift a few friends or Family of Gamers but to the latter... the true gamer and not the profit scamer... it's just annoying. Petty attempts like these to stop the side sales or whatever are the very place and times that they give birth to new blood in the form of exactly what they are trying to control or limit. Bad Marketing when Sales are eventhing to this type of product... the more sales during events like these = success and repeats of such a sale directly because of the sale success with a Bonus of FREE advertising by those who need to make their $$$'s back with hopes of profiting on the investment so they religiously... Advertise the product as the next best thing to Bacon which in turn is sheer #'s and even more direct Non-discounted Sales from said "side sales & Advertising = Huge Boosts to Developmental funding allocations and just palne Fat Profit Margins out of the Gate.... Sorry for the book but I really am just tired of hearing all the whining about this kinda stuff all over the boards... if young studios and their Dev's focused more of their time to gain control over in game "Hackers" via relivant anti-cheat systems they had funding to spend on rather than trying to brain storm over futile attempts to control how their product is sold "The Markup", I think a lot more games would have a much higher return and postive light in the eyes of the true gamer who in the end... paid for the game and want to play a balanced fair enjoyable game... no matter if they bought it from someone months down the road, a Profitier who caught a sale they missed, they just dont want their money to feel like a freakin waste due to Hackers and get run out of the game. Everyone is still happy in the end... well in my not so picture perfect but realivently balanced world I dream of all the time anyways. :tank:

Wow.. that is hard to read XD next time place space it sometime to make it easier XD

Any how i disagree there... in the end the amount of people to buy a game is limited... its not like food that you need to get more all the time, but its a one time thing you buy and you have and even that is just for some window of time
Then it will become harder to sale when new games come out, so i do not think they think more abut getting a sale then how much they get from each one

Also yes i can make a new account and buy it there but... then il have a account with the game and one game to gift.. selling an account is not legal... and i think will also be harder to sale then a game (that may even be legal to resale) so something like these i think dose allow players to get a good sale while blocking someone that just want to sale it

If you've read many of the other threads relating to that, you'd see that it does make sense; basically, it's to prevent the purchasing of large quantities of deeply discounted games. (See the other threads for more in-depth explanation.)

Yep... componnding sentances and spacing was horrible and was completely was not relayed here as I had it layed out on my Phone. Thx for the analytics

I had the options by the way with my inital purchase to buy the 2-pack "As a Gift" but chose the option "For myself" first.

Maybe it was difficult for you to read as well but I stated, I understand what they were attempting to curve with a 2-pack purchasing limit that btw I had the option to purchase for "Myself" or "As a Gift" initally. I Purchased it for myself and to gift the extra copy, then wanted to get a gift 2-pack for my sons.

This is an Alpha/Beta buy-in game... Sales and advertising are way up there on the list. Simply put, if there were a notice during said sale that there is a "Limit of one per Customer" I would have never posted and not had the problem or devise a work-around as I had all the funds already allocated to my Steam Wallet.

Thanks for the responses and the deviations from the subject matter to critique.
