It does not belong to Steam. Any website promising to help you level up a Steam account is not one that I would trust.

Simple - ANY website outside of Steam that is doing something to encourage you to go there, whether it be selling or trading skins, gambling or anything else is going to be a scam.

That's why they do it. You have to have bait to catch someone, and money or desirable situations is ALWAYS going to be attractive.

Simple rule - NEVER use any external sites for anything to do with moving stuff from your inventory. The only "safe" websites are thos that show statistics from scraping Valve's data.

Makes sense, Steam levels pretty much don't mean ♥♥♥♥ except for personal validation anyway. I've just been doing an investigation on their site/discord just to see if they're shady or legit.

The ID Verification that they 'require' is pretty much what got me over the edge and sketched out; as well as the card payment option for their site. They claim that they use 'Stripe' as a payment processor but I obviously don't believe.

So far from my research that I've done on them, it's a typical shady scam site. As they say, " good scam artists are just friendly people with a smile."

You did the right thing there.

And yes, that's normally how they get you. You "log in" to Steam through them except that's not what it happening. The payments part only lends more fuel to the fire, caution wise.

Typically, the people who always post on here about their account getting stolen is that they go to these sites, log into Steam without giving much thought to it (they obviously want to get to the site quickly). They do whatever they do on the site, and after a couple of weeks, lo and behold, account stolen.

That login was simply skimming your details from you, and just like with VAC, they time delay so that you won't suspect it's them.

So yeah, ANY sites that is doing stuff like that - avoid at all costs.

Even legit sites need ID and stuff due to I believe EU laws. Thats why I don't use them anymore :P

As for levels, use trade bots that send your payment and cards in the same trade

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
