Xbox game bar stealing all my steam games
I have windows insider build 21292.rs_prerelease.210108-1514. Xbox stole all my games from steam and now they only load on xbox game bar witch isn't uninstall-able. Now i can't access my games. Is xbox game bar stealing all your games too? Is Microsoft making it so you can only use there app on windows. Steam will have to stream all it games remotely to be accessible? Im pissed..

Game bar is basically just an overlay, there's nothing to launch THROUGH it.

Are you talking about the Xbox app?

Snapjaks right, the bar is just an overlay. I use the Xbox app all the time (did this week) and it's never hijacked my Steam account. I use the Xbox Companion Console app as well and the same thing.

Maybe It's a current quirk of the insider build?

Edit: But just so we're clear...Microsoft isn't stealing anything.

Have you tried turning off the game bar under settings in Windows when you attempt to play your Steam games? It's just an overlay as others mentioned.

Yeah, this is not happening. I use the Xbox Game Bar thingy too. No problems.

Jasung is correct though - have you tried turning it off in the Windows settings?

It cannot steal anything so I'm not even sure what you mean here. Games CANNOT disappear from your Steam account in any case. It's impossible.

Do you mean they're not visiable as installed?

Please provide some more clarity.

You can't turn it off.. any app you use it automatically loads it under game bar. Stealing by the means of steam abilities in game not working. The bar claims the game as a xbox (Microsoft) game. So the game literally doesn't function. Its not compatible software. The copy rights and encryption aren't the same. Microsoft is going full stream (remote game play)
1. (Green thumb) Low energy pc, cellphone usage.
2. More users less hardware compatibility issues.
3. Don't get windows banned, its not monopoly if apple and other operating systems are out there.

Issue 1: games don't disappear on steam, steam is not compatible with windows in the future.
Issue 2: its not just steam, its many more apps.

With cell phone technology projected to be in 5 years all games will be streamed live off servers. No downloading. Microsoft is and will take action to make its self competitive with apple, Android, sony and many other game providers.

Tvs also proving streaming game service so there's even more competition to windows. Tvs proving keyboard and mouse functions for basic computer needs. Too much competition. Not a monopoly..

You don't have the windows potential build, you don't have the updated versions.

Yes you can. Start -> Settings -> Gaming. You can find the rest yourself.

Yeah, that doesn't happen. If it does on your PC, you have other issues.

The latest fixes and reports regarding the latest Insider build don't show such an issue. Even if it was like that, you'd have to provide feedback to Microsoft instead of making a thread here.

THat's funny because every time I ask you to present evidence of where I'm wrong, you run away.

As I've told you before that I'm more than happy to be wrong. That's how we learn. I don't suffer from that chidldish ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of shame for being wrong.

You, on the other hand, are just irritated for some reason for DEMONSTRATING you were in fact wrong on a couple of posts, especially that one about misunderstanding how power works (and USB).

So please do stop this silliness. If I am wrong, have at it. I actually respect more for pointing things out.
