HELP - Counter Strike 1.6 not running, visual c++ issue!

this happened when half-life updated, which affects other games based on the same hl.exe file!
it says the following:
"assertion failed!

Program:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\hw.dll

anybody knows how to solve this?

i just got the exact issue last nite. I tried dling the latest MS Visual c++ , but still dosent work

кароче просто ставите в настройках стим кс 1.6 бету версию и все
