You make no sense, you wait the app on to bypass hold, but you want it off so you can trade? That not how that works.

How trading works.
- When have Steam guard off, you can't trade period, there no bypass, there no workaround.

- When have Steam guard on, you get trade hold x amount of days.

- When you add Steam mobile guard to your account, and it been on for more than 7 days consecutively, that means no turn off/remove/readd, as long it over 7 days been active on your account, you get option to bypass trade holds, and when trading with others both you, and the person you're trading with must approve the trade confirmation via the steam mobile guard app, that simple.

You make no sense, I said I had steam guard activated 16 days ago and I still have a 7 day hold for my items.

Are you trying to bypass trade hold yes, or no?

If yes YOU NEED the app, and the app must be activate on your account for 7 days consecutively, and when you do the trade, BOTH parties that trading with each other MUST apporve the comfirm trade VIA the app.

If no then working as it should be with trade hold.

Even if you have had the authenticator active for 7 days, if the other person who is trading with you doesn't have the authenticator the items will still be held.

Sounds like a new device restriction since that is the only one with 7 day holds.

My item is trade locked and I set up Authenticator steam guard on October 31. I just got a knife 2 days ago and it is on trade lock till November 22 when I hover over it.

When you received the item was the most valuable information that was left out of this entire thread.

The trade cooldown is completely different and a separate restriction Valve had added to CS2 items back in 2018.

This if specific to CS:GO and now, CS2 as of 2018...

Revisiting Trade

Steam trading was created to allow customers to easily exchange items with each other, and each day we see thousands of customers using Steam Trading in this way. Recently we’ve been looking into ways to reduce some negative unintended uses of trading in CS:GO (such as fraud and scams), with the goal of preserving trade between players.

Starting today, CS:GO items received in trade will have the same seven-day trade cooldown as items purchased in-game or via the Steam Community Market.

Over time, third-parties have developed services that use automated Steam accounts to mimic players and make use of Steam’s trading functionality. Unfortunately, some of these third party services have become a vector for fraud or scams. Unlike players, these services rely on the ability to trade each item very frequently. In contrast, a given item moves between actual players no more than once a week in the vast majority of cases.

We want to make sure that Steam item trading is a useful feature that continues to provide customers with the freedom to give and receive items as they wish. However, we realize today’s change may also be disruptive to some players. We’ll continue to evaluate trading policies as time goes on, and if you have any feedback or concerns about the change you can email us at CSGOTeamFeedback@valvesoftware.com

Reading is important, just like hotsauce posted above, if done a trade for certain items they get a cooldown before you can trade them again, all you can do is wait for cooldown to go away.

Also another tip, if you cancel a trade, it gives you a warning before doing it telling you that get a trade cooldown so can't do anymore trades until cooldown is gone.
