The good thing is, new games are actually ♥♥♥♥ nowadays so u dont loose much by not buying them

I've been following this issue since the month of August and it still hasn't been fixed. People saying that Steam has disabled the Digital Steam Giftcard feature because of exploitation for cheaper prices are spreading misinformation and have no source to back up such a claim. All we know so far is that it is currently impossible to gift anything to users from Argentina and it has stayed that way for many months, futhermore Valve has released no statement as to why that is the case.

It isn't something that is broken. It was intentionally changed and no one, not even support can help. Only Valve themselves can do anything about it, if and when they decide they want to.

According to steam support they are apparently working on fixing it tho.

Except that's an assertion that has just been shown not to be true.

They DO know about this, but not every member of staff will know the precise details because it ain't their remit.

The fact of the gift card thing and exploitation has been WELL KNOWN and spoken about by them for some time. But you are simply not going to get continuous or finer details because that might lead to people exploiting it - if you give people any info on how stuff works or what particular bits you're looking at, that gives you an avenue to work on. if you're a scammer.

This is quite normal in ALL business.

It won't be anytime soon, Argentina's notoriously unstable economy is currently facing extremely high inflation (like most other countries but worse since it was always bad to begin with) and the fact that Steam hasn't been accepting some local payment methods for a while tells a lot about the state of the nation's currency.
