Downloads in Queue won't download
Got a new SSD and everything is all set up and working, aside from steam.

Previously, I had a single HDD in this system. Now of course I have the new SSD as boot drive, and the HDD for bulk storage.

I downloaded steam onto the SSD and added the existing HDD steam library to the SSDs steam (so that I can access HDD library from steam booted on SSD)

All the games work that I've tested so far, but I wanted to install ARK onto the SSD as its my most played game right now.

Right now its sitting in my download queue, saying "download queued for *5mins from now*".
5 minutes later the download starts for one second, downloads like 10MB then stops and queues up to start again in another 5 minutes. Same thing happens if I manually move to top of queue.

Have you tried changing the download regions yet ? If so, do it several times to several different locations to see if that helps.

I usually recommend to log out and back in after each change, then comfirm the change stayed like you left it but that is just my way of doing it.

Hmmm.... I switched to houston, and chicago (I'm in STL misourri and thats where the region was set) neither of those worked.

Did LA and that's working as of right now... odd.
Thanks for the help.

Hey no problem. A good tip for you...if you see a few threads on the forum here about users having connection problems, the regions change can sometimes work.

Sometimes the network is just going to have issues, but usually it is pretty good. As you can see, you may need to change it several times to test it fully. Good luck and thanks for the reply and follow up post.:steamhappy:

Don't remember how I fixed this, but I eventually did. So there's light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck

See this support page. Scroll down to "Change Download Region"...

Do not only try one or two if you get no good results. Try many if needed, and try some very far away from you also.
