[Windows 10] Recent games when right-clicking Steam on Taskbar
I used the recent game feature all the time on WIndows 7, but after upgrading to Windows 10, I don't get a list of my recent games or any pinned games whenever I right-click the Steam icon on my taskbar at the bottom. Is this feature gone or is there a way to get back? Or is it still there for everyone else and just not me?

W10 doesn't seem to have a jumplist feature on taskbar buttons. You should still be able to use the context menu of the tray icon.
My recent games were gone from the W7 and W8 jumplists for awhile so I didn't notice them in Windows 10. You can still see them in the system tray however.

W10 is just an update of w8, it Im surprised at the thousands of problems that show up for it. Its reported as the ''Best Windows yet'' *cough* Most folks dont realise that its ''NOT A NEW OS'' its an update of the previous of the previous..etc .etc '' but hey how.

^^^
Am I the only one who experienced 0 (ZERO) problems upgrading to Win10?

Yep. you're going solo bud !
Microsoft really nailed it this time, its such a nice smooth operating system. Games play better AND task switching doesn't crash anymore :3

You got a list of recent games in your jumplist? All I have is the default stuff like to change status (online/away/busy/offline) and to open up some other windows like Friends, Servers, etc I don't have any list of actual games I recently played.

No I meant my win10 does have jumplists, I haven't seen the games appear in the jumplist for like 2 years, yes even in 7 and 8, mind you.

I always just use the system tray icon.

Ah I did the opposite back in 7. I was using the jumplist and it was nice being able to pin games to your jumplist. I didn't know about the system tray icon.

I use the Steam Client or Start Menu, not the task bar, so I never really notice, but can confirm that it's not in current Windows 7, so this is not new to Windows 10.

Windows 7 has this ability :

You can view your lists of recent and pinned games when right-clicking on the Steam icon in the taskbar.

They both have the ability to show recent in the jumplist. Steam must have reset the settings when we upgraded. Go to steam Settings > Interface > Set taskbar preferences. Uncheck a few that you don't want.

The problem is that the jump list is limited to 10 items, and the default list is 10 items long. Unchecking a few leaves space for 'recent' items. Hope this helps.

Ah yeah, it does work, thanks!

Shame it has a limit of 10 items though, I had set the max in Win7 at about 20 so I had plenty of other games there too.

open up steam settings -> taskbar preferences -> and remove all that ♥♥♥♥ you don't need to see as a quick link (ie community, screenshots, big picture etc)... it open up room for your favorites, pinned games, recent games etc
