(Solved) Max Friends on Steam?

Just curious :)

Every new level you get 5 friend slots. So there is no max friend limit as you can keep leveling.
Just as some statistics, I am lvl 44 and I can have 520 friends at max.

If I remember correctly, 250 is max, 300 if you link your Facebook to Steam and you get +5 more friend spaces for every Steam level you get.

The limit is dependent on your Steam level. The higher your Steam level, the more slots you have. You can check your current amount of slots here: http://steamcommunity.com/my/friends/

Does it ever stop giving you +5 friends for example if you're like level 1000?

how many friend invites can I keep? until it reaches max friend list without my friendlist even being full

Your friends and your pending invites both share the same maximum.
So if your friends list limit is 300, and you have 250 friends and 50 pending invites, it will be full.

Steam level doesn't have a cap, but as eide said I can confirm friends is capped at 2000.

The reply's that I have seen dont explain why I have 280 but Pyrocynical has 233 keep in mind I am lvl 6 and has not associated any accounts with mine but Pyro should have more friends than me right?

This thread is old time to be annoying! Alright when you try to add St4ck it says friends list full but he only has 394? this confuses me any reason why?

Because pending friend requests count.

Go figure he's got a ton of those.

There is a maximum limit of pending friend requests, which is 200. My maximum friendlist size is 1100+, but due to pending friend requests, my friendlist is full.
