Slow download from NZ
I have gone from my normal 4mbs to 100kbs. I rung my isp and we came to the conclusion it was most likely steam's end because all other downloads and speed tests came back normal. Anyone else in New Zealand experiencing low speeds atm?

Yep, I get the absolute worst speeds during and just after big sales. everyone is trying to download those big games and it just overflows the network.

Check your network traffic and any shared bandwidth (QoS).

Considering that Windows 10 is released tomorrow (29th July 2015), ensure that hasn't started downloading in the background (taking up the bandwidth).

Then consider your ISP.

I'm from NZ too, but don't have slow down issues. Well consider NZ ISP normally is rather slow compared to America, but still.

Then check under Steam > Settings > Downloads > Download Region.

Wouldn't the 29th be the American windows 10 release date won't we get it on the 30th.

New Zealand UTC is +12 hours. Tuesday night at midnight ET, Windows 10 will be released.

Some people on Tech Preview version might already have it.

It will likely be sent in waves, accordingly to timezones and servers bandwidth limitation. Starting with Windows Insiders and then moving through preorders gradually. So not everyone will get it right on it's release date.

If you are still having problems try switching to US chicago download server. Dont know how it works but it works. Im with Slingshit and its made my speed much faster.
