Cheat Engine on my computer. Should I remove?
So for single player games I have and use cheat engine on my computer occasionally, no one likes grinding out boring side missions to get a load a cash to help complete a main mission in single player game, so I use cheat engine for them on occasion, but I am about to get ESEA and I know it puts software thats super sensitive to cheats on your computer and scans a bunch of ♥♥♥♥. Do I need to delete cheat engine and all that before I start this. I'm not stupid and not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that hacks online multiplayer cause it ruins the game for everyone. I'm just wanting to avoid an unneccasary ban. Now I know it's best to go ahead and delete it and I have, but I'm sure I have cheat tables for games scattered on my HDD and don't want that to bite me in the ass with a ban. So what I am asking is am I good removing what I can find and then playing or should I format my wholle HDD all 3 TB's of it just so I can play. (I DONT CHEAT IN ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MULTIPLAYER CAUSE I HAD TWO LOVING PARENTS THAT DIDN'T RAISE ME WHILE ON DRUGS! It just saves me time in single player games that I cant pour hours into)

Any game/software that bans you for unrelated software simply because it's cheat-related is not worth playing/using. I can understand exactly where you're coming from. It's fun to fool around with single-player games sometimes, and nothing wrong with it, since you're not affecting anyone else.

I guess the best thing to do in your specific game is to ask the questions on the software's official forums, or maybe ask their support staff.

I have heard many times it has caused VAC bans if left opened by accident and you play on a VAC secured server. I would remove just to be safe.

Okay I unistalled it and removed all the cheat tables I could find but I'm sure theres still some on my computer. For the cheat tables and other data left behind should I format or should I be good? I don't condone cheating at all, but in single player game the only person you hurt is yourself. I feel as though as long as as nothing is running I should be good right?

Reformat, smash the drive to pieces, and destroy the fragments in the fires of mount doom from which they were forged. It's the only way to be sure.

Anyways, cheat engine would have to be running, at the very least, for VAC to ban you for it. Don't know how ESEA works, but if they ban you just for having a cheat table file then they're total fascists I wouldn't trust with access to my computer anyway.

I agree but you have to understand this was for single player games not all on steam, I playedc mercanaries 2 and other games, this was for offline use only, i would never think of damaging the multiplayer community of any game, its just plain ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. But I do know they dont take that into consideration. Hacking is hackins so I guess its time to wipe all 3 tb's. Good bye all torrented movies I never watched, it was good knowing you.

Hopefully steam doesnt ban me for this confession. I'm not the scum of the community and I do love it.

Over all the how Anti-Cheat systems work, is a secret, as if we all know it, then someone can use that to find a workaround it more easily
As much as i know most of them will not give you a ban, as long as the software is not running while you playing, but i never heard of ESEA so that may not be the same
