DNS probe finished no internet - problem, pls help
I've google searched many different solutions such as:

-CMD -> ipconfig /release, ipconfig /all, ipconfig /flushdns, ipconfig/renew
netsh winsock reset, netsh winsock reset catalog
-Internet Protocol Version 4 -> use following dns server adresses
preferred: 208.67.222.222 or 8.8.8.8
alternate: 208.67.220.220 or 8.8.4.4
-Router settings -> D-Link -> 192.168.0.1 -> reboot
-Firewall -> im using windows firewall. ive tried turning it off, but theres still no connection
-Safe Mode -> ive tried going into safe mode, but still no internet
-Uninstalled network adapters so that it updates automatically after i restart the computer, but still doesnt work

After doing all this, the problem is still there. Please help me. Idk what to do. The only other solution might be to restore pc to an earlier date, but I want to see if theres any other way of solving this problem before i do that. Thanks in advance

Does anyone on this computer use AOL? Is your network set to Private/Home or Public? I've seen recently on muliple computers with the AOL client installed that a recent update to AOL reset the Network to Public AND it was unrecoverable from that state (including manual regedit). Uninstalling AOL fixed the problem. It's been a long time but this also happened back in the Windows 95 days with AOL.
