I am getting this message when i post on non firends profiles. But i can post on friends profiles with no problem. What is the reason/problem i am getting this. I wanted to post a link to a thread on someones profile non-friend incase they forgot about the thread. But i get Sorry, some kind of error has occurred: You've been posting too frequently, and can't make another post right now. but i don't get that error on friends profiles its very werid.
I uninstalled steam and reinstalled it if need be i will format my hard drive and reinstall windows.

Don't say delete the system32 folder either as i am not that dumb plus windows 7 wont allow you to delete it.

They limit the number of posts to non-friend profiles now to help combat bots and spammers. The limit resets daily. You'll need to wait 24 hours or add the account as a friend.

I bet it's a limit for everyone, makes sense that they have these limits to stop spamming. Also that you can still post on friends profiles makes sense for a comment spam limit.

Haven't we all set profile posts to friends only at least at this point to combat this? I recall, maybe a year ago, my profile was getting spammed and this is exactly what I did.

No just my experience with building computers and loading windows. It is just basic knowledge that windows will not let you delete the system32 folder i thought everyone knew this. Plus this is a common response here on steam people telling other people to delete the system32 folder so i figured i nip it in the bud before some wise guy comes in here and says it.
