Ticket Response Time
Is it normal for steam to take 5 days to respond to a support ticket on a hijacked account? Im really getting worried here. I had my account hacked by some dude in russia and ive given them everything they need in a support ticket with not even a "well look into it" response....

It takes time. It usually takes up to a week for a response, it can take longer. Roughly about 2-3 or 4 weeks. Leave yout ticket open and they will respond.

Imagine this.

You are a frontdesk employee. In front of you, are the billions of SteamUsers falling in line at the information desk.

@Got Em!, there are 50,000 red jelly beans. All the red jelly beans are other users tickets. There is only 1 blue jelly bean, which is your ticket. What's the chance of you dipping your hand and grabbing the blue jelly bean?

Evidently, they simply haven't gotten to your ticket yet.

5 days isn't that long ago.

Rest assured that once they see your ticket, they will do something.

I understand there are a lot of tickets to be looked into but shouldnt some have some sort of priority? Even a "hey, well look into it, give us a week" would make me feel a little better lol

You are in their steam caring hands. No use worrying over spilt milk. it will make you grow older. Have a huge patience :)

Every question is important and high priority to the person who submitted it. It would be unfair to answer newer questions before older questions.

All CRM systems follow the thumb rule. " First Come, FIrst Serve"

Pretty sure they're, more or less, first in, first out. In other words, handled by timestamp with skipovers of those tickets that are difficult to decipher or require a good deal of leg work, as most mass support is handled.

If they were to prioritize hijack-related tickets, everything else would go unanswered forever. :dealwithit:

How the heck did you manage to stay around for 12 years and still get phish scammed?

When you get your account back I would setup 2 factor authentication using the iPhone app.
